Prairie Players Theatre Academyis a non-profit performing arts organization dedicated to education through the arts. The Academy was founded in June of 1997. Its mission is to encourage, foster and promote the study, practice and appreciation of the performing arts in the community through musicals, dances and dramatic productions, both of an established and experimental nature. The Academy's curriculum explores the historical development and traditions of theatre. Its curriculum is outcome-based and integrates intense study in the performing arts. The Academy offers a variety of programs through which students in the community can develop their talents and interests in all areas of the performing arts. Students participate in age-appropriate activities and exercises. |
